The Hampton Park Student Ministries vision is to see young adults become passionate followers of Jesus.
Our mission is to partner with and equip parents in the making and maturing of their young adults into devoted disciples of Jesus Christ by the power of the gospel and the Spirit, and for the glory of God in the church and among the nations. To that end, we desire to lead students to be and to do what the New Testament reflects that the early church was and did, embracing Life by the Book.

The next two Saturdays we have opportunities for your teens. This Saturday (1.23.16) there will be an open gym from 6:00-8:00pm. Next Saturday (1.30.16) we are volunteering at A Hero's 5K. We have had a great time together doing this the last two years and look forward to another great day. We will leave the church from the Panther doors (right next to the Teen Room). at 6:30am and return there by 11:00am. If your teen has not yet signed up they can do that this weekend in Sunday School or at the Member Care Desk or you can respond to this email letting me know they plan to join us.
Last week I read a helpful blog on the topic of social media. In the brief post Jacob Eckeberger shares three insightful influences on the teens use of social media and then three helpful things that we, as parents, can do to lead our teens in their use of social media. He offers this challenge to we parents regarding our responsibility in our teens in this area:
It's all a part of helping students think critically and Christianly about what they post before they post it.
You can find the entire blog here. It will only take a few minutes to read, but I would encourage you to take it further than that. Use this to start or continue a conversation with your teen about social media.
