EMU International, Inc. was originally founded as Evangelical Mission to Uruguay. In the late 1980’s, the mission expanded its field of ministry to include countries other than Uruguay. The acronym EMU now also stands for Evangelical Mission to the Unreached.
The Purpose of EMU is to bring glory to God by assisting churches and individuals in carrying out the Great Commission given to the Church Universal by our Lord Jesus Christ through ministries of evangelism, establishing indigenous churches, and training nationals to do the same.
The Village of Light School for the Blind, located in Togo, West Africa, has a passion to educate those who have been blinded by disease, accidents or genetics to be able to read the French Braille Bible and teach them a trade. The school is a haven for those who are shunned by society and family, showing them the unconditional love of God on a daily basis. The ultimate goal of the school is to bring sight-impaired children to a saving knowledge of Christ and to disciple them in the faith.
The Puerto Rico Baptist College is designed to meet the spiritual, intellectual, and social needs of each student, under the guidance of the Word of God, and with the goal of producing lasting results. The College utilizes an adjunct faculty of area pastors and missionaries which donate their service.
The Wilds is a camp nestled in the Blue Ridge Mountains near Rosman, North Carolina. Since 1969, it has been serving the local church with a wide variety of camping programs.
CampsAbroad exists to help ministries around the world establish camp programs that glorify God, build up believers, and reach people for Christ. They provide training and assistance to help national ministry leaders lay the foundations for effective camping ministries.
