Joel Gearhart
Pastor for Missions and Outreach
Joel grew up in Michigan in a pastor's home. Through his parents’ teaching and example, he came to trust Christ at a young age. During his teen years his desire for ministry began to grow. After graduating from Christian high school, he attended Bible college to train for ministry. Upon completion of his degree he worked in the college's athletic department for 3 years. He served as an assistant pastor for youth at a church in Metro Detroit for eight years prior to coming to Hampton Park. He and his wife Dawn have three sons, Camden, Josiah and Trevor. Joel came to us in the fall of 2013 and is excited to have the opportunity to lead the young people at Hampton Park. His prayer and desire is that they will become passionate followers of Jesus.
