Dominica
Tony and Martha are member missionaries sent out from Hampton Park. Tony was born to missionaries in West Africa and grew up in the Caribbean. At age 6, he was saved following a Bible club his mom conducted. Martha was reared in a Christian home in Greenville, South Carolina. She was saved at age 7 and felt called to missions shortly after that. As a teenager, the Lord burdened Tony for the young people of Antigua, where he was raised. After Tony and Martha were married in May 1989, the Lord led them to a different country in the Caribbean – The Commonwealth of Dominica.
The Corneliuses initially joined Hutson Challenger, a national pastor, and assisted him in two ministries: Lighthouse Baptist Church and Lighthouse Christian Academy. Burdened with the needs of the youth on Dominica, Tony led the church youth group and began a summer camp ministry to help Christian teens to stand strong against worldly influences. The camps also reached unsaved teens with the Gospel.
In their third term, Tony began Open Bible Church in Marigot. In addition to their Sunday and Wednesday services, they regularly hold an evangelistic open-air meeting and youth ministry. Tony has traveled to St. Maarten and Nevis to assist in camp ministries and has preached for youth and missions conferences in Dominica and Antigua.
The Corneliuses have 8 children: Jamie, T.J., Stephanie, Kimberly, Emily, David, Daniel, and Eric.
