Ben Fetterolf
Pastor for Administration
Ben has been attending Hampton Park Baptist Church since he was old enough to scream in the infant nursery. He came to know Christ as a young child and was baptized and joined the church when he was twelve. Ben traces the main onset of his growth as a believer to the summer after his graduation from Hampton Park Christian School. That summer, while counseling at Northland Camp, God used Galatians 5 to expose his self-serving, self-righteous heart and to bring him to repentance. Since that time, the Spirit has consistently grown him in grace and in knowing God, teaching him to serve Christ out of grateful love. Throughout his college years, God used his summer internships to deepen his love for the church, and he responded by becoming more involved at HP, serving in various capacities and investing in discipleship opportunities. The most significant growth in Ben's life over the past ten years has been through the ministry of HP. Following his graduation from Bob Jones University (B.A., Bible) in May 2009, Ben married Candice Lehman, daughter of HP’s counseling and family pastor, John Lehman. Her generosity, administrative/planning abilities, and outgoing spirit are a tremendous complement to Ben. Ben and Candice have 4 children. While Candice used her degree in special education for three years in the Greenville County School system, Ben worked for a flooring company, interned at HP, and earned an M.A. in Biblical Studies from RTS in Charlotte. Ben joined the pastoral staff of HPBC in the summer of 2015. Ben’s ministry passion is equipping fellow members of the body for ministry. When he can grab a little spare time, Ben is an avid reader, disc golfer, Atlanta Braves fan, and board gamer.
